The Couch Potato's Goodbye

My fellow dedicated readers I am here to say my goodbye and to reminisce about a great year. I had the chance to write to you about many topics from Guitar Hero, the Super Bowl and I even shared my Christmas wish list. In addition, all of you found out that I have a scary obsession with Megan Fox because, come on... she is a hottie.
Well seeing how this is my last article, I want to talk about many things I have not been able to discuss. One of them is how great of a school year this was. I mean sitting on my couch, playing video games, munching on Pop Tarts while listening to some Led Zeppelin, and watching Lost (thank you Ms. Ochoa). Sure I was a little bored when they showed the same episodes on television over and over, thanks to the darn writers strike, but I satisfied my "couchieness" appetite by going to the movie theaters and watching horrible movies like Doomsday Cloverfield (Please that monster was a rip off.) and hosting the first annual couchie awards.

New Generation, Same Kart

Mario Kart is back, new and improved in Mario Kart Wii, continuing Nintendo’s current production spree.
One may wonder why Nintendo would add motorcycles and dirt bikes to the game series that popularized, if not invented, the genre of weapons-based go-kart racing. If you are one of the fans who were reluctant about the two-wheeled vehicles, a midair stunt system and motion controls, rest assured that despite these changes, Mario Kart Wii is still very much the game that you have come to love over the years. But even if you have not been on the receiving end of a blue shell before, the extensive multiplayer options, deeply integrated online functionality, multitude of controller schemes available and simple game play make this latest Mario Kart great fun and quite possibly the most accessible one ever, only after three days.
